Welcome to the Town of Pembroke's Website. I would like to
personally thank you for visiting us here online.
Pembroke is my home. Having grown up in Giles County, I have
chosen to raise my own family here in Pembroke, located in such
a beautiful part of the state.
The natural beauty of the Cascades, Castle Rock, and the New
River is unsurpassed. These are just a few sites we invite you
to stop and enjoy while traveling through Giles County.
Not only is there natural beauty here to enjoy but also
Pembroke has the smallest operating library in the state of
Virginia. The library, complete with the historical style once
located in front of the Pembroke hotel, is now located between
the First Virginia Bank and the Town Hall.
If you are interested in genealogy, please stop by to see our
records of cemeteries, local families, and historical facts with
old pictures. Even our historical old Little Stony Creek
Lutheran, "Pembroke Memorial" church, with the structure dating
to pre-civil war times and with a congregation that started
forming in 1976 is here near the Town Hall and is a living
picture to the history of our town.
Since I am also a business owner here in town, I invite those
of you who are entrepreneurs to come to Pembroke to see the
business opportunities that await you. We are experiencing
growth at this time, even in the face of these difficult
economic times.
Feel free to contact me by calling our Town Office at (540)
626-7191. We look forward to seeing all of you, citizen or
newcomer, in the future, here in Pembroke.
Sincerely,
Dana Munsey, Mayor
